Atterbury
The Atterbury Property Group was founded in 1994. During its 16-year existence Atterbury has built a sound reputation for delivering exceptional commercial, office and retail assets. Over the past few years the group has been awarded several accolades for best property developer in South Africa.
This theatre will belong to the Atterbury Trust and will also be utilised to promote cultural activities in disadvantaged communities. When Atterbury Property was established in 1994 a conscious decision was taken to plough part of the wealth that would be created back into the community. The Atterbury Trust was created with the primary objective of promoting Christian-based education in Afrikaans-speaking communities. The main activities of the trust are the awarding of bursary loans to financially needy students and the subsequent supporting and mentoring of those students. A secondary objective is to provide vital financial support to schools and pre-primary schools situated in the western suburbs of Pretoria.
Our aim is also to make the Atterbury teater available to schools and community organisations for concerts, plays and choir festivals.
